James was born and raised in Halifax and returned in 2020 after spending 16 years away. He has acquired a profound appreciation for the natural beauty of Nova Scotia and its residents. James is deeply passionate about this region and enjoys exploring the outdoors whenever possible.

With a 20-year career in hospitality, James has extensive experience in delivering exceptional service from working with International luxury hotel brands, food & beverage, and tour & travel. His international travel as a tour director and living in several countries abroad has endowed him with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. He applies his hospitality skills in his real estate career, establishing professional relationships with both colleagues and clients. 

James has invested in several pre-build condominium projects and is a homeowner in Portland Hills, where he regularly visits nature trails, lakes, and beaches with his dogs, Luna and Rio. His interests outside of work include health and fitness, mindfulness, and outdoor activities. James loves a good challenge; in 2024 he participated in The Big Swim – a charity event where participants swim across the Northumberland Strait from New Brunswick to PEI. He actively engages with his community through volunteering and sponsoring local schools, sports teams, and events.

Known for his approachable demeanor and sense of humor, James ensures that the home buying and selling process is both enjoyable and efficient.
