With almost a decade of experience in real estate sales, Dawn, along with fellow Domus salesperson Ernie Buote, purchased the company from founders Gail Morris and Sandy Rutledge. Dawn has a long-term vision for Domus which includes maintaining the reputation for excellent service and community involvement we are known for, while keeping up with modern trends and assuring the company stays relevant for years to come.
Growing up in a construction family, Dawn has a keen understanding of what makes a great home. From "solid-bones" to great space allocations, Dawn has an eye for homes that suits her clients’ needs. Though she has always considered Nova Scotia to be home, Dawn has lived in many cities across Canada, an experience which has granted her an appreciation for finely built homes and helped her develop an eye for architecture with flare.
Dawn is an active mother and a strong member of her community. Prior to entering the real estate profession, Dawn trained as an elite athlete with the National Women’s rugby team. She represented Canada at the World Cup. Dawn has served on the Board of Directors for Rugby Canada to represent female athletes across the country. She serves on the Nova Scotia Association of Realtors as an Alternate Regional Director. Dawn is a Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of Canada and continues to pursue education in order to achieve the highest professional standard of excellence. Some of her training has included The Appraisal Methods course through REIC and the world renowned Negotiation and Leadership course at Harvard University. Dawn has a remarkable work ethic, creative problem solving skills and a passion for helping people, which makes working with her invaluable.
